Wonderful meal with my aunt and uncle. Made to feel very welcome by the owner. Genuine home cooked, fresh Italian food paired with a good choice of wines. Great professional service too from the lovely waitress. Easy parking round the back and a nice choice of meat free options. We had 3 courses each - all delicious and all promptly served!
This was an extremely vibrant experience, especially for Valentine’s Day. A great atmosphere, lovely staff and amazing food! I would definitely recommend this for anyone (and definitely couples) as it is quaint, cosy, and a comforting atmosphere!
Husband and I had our anniversary dinner here. Excellent food, fresh ingredients. Excellent service. We also chatted with the owner - that was terrific too! I would definitely come back.
I dont know if the ownership has changed, or the chef maybe, but our experience was nowhere near the 5* experiences of other diners. The aubergine parmigiana was a stack of warm, barely cooked aubergine, sliced tomato and part melted cheese that was frankly unappetising. A fellow diner could barely locate any calamari in his starter….. The veal main had the appearance of boil in the bag meat slices with a sauce, accompanied by some shrivelled warm veg. My main was a small plate of lacklustre tagliatelle marinara with e few prawn bits and I spotted 2 little shrimps. The flavour of other ingredients? None! The little bowl of seafood risotto next to me was like no other risotto, and tasted distinctly as if it was factory made. The bill for 5 of us, nearly £200, with £60 for drinks. Left feeling dissatisfied. The service was rushed, and although the ambience of the place is OK, it cannot make up for such a poor show on the food front.
